Teacher of Support for Learning - Fixed term until 29/06/2027
Broughton High School Salary: £67,053 (pro rata for part time) Hours: 12.08 per week Thursday 8.00am - 4pm and Friday 8am - 12.15pm.
Broughton High School is founded on the values of respect, inclusion and integrity. We have high aspirations for our young people and believe that together we achieve more. We are a non-denominational secondary school with a roll of approximately 1300 pupils, working in partnership with our associated primaries of Flora Stevenson, Ferryhill, Granton and Stockbridge serving our local community in North-West Edinburgh.
Broughton fully integrates and embraces three specialist provisions into the life and work of the school: the City of Edinburgh Music and Dance Schools, and the SFA Performance School. We believe in enabling every young person to fulfil their potential as an individual and as a member of their wider community. We emphasise the importance of excellent teaching and learning and strive to deliver flexible learning pathways that meet the needs of all young people.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
