The City of Edinburgh Council is looking for a Senior Accountant to work on the management, development and maintenance of the Council's core financial management systems, Oracle eBusiness Suite. The postholder will work within the Council's Financial Systems team, managing and maintaining the Purchasing Systems including the Systems Administration of these areas.
We are looking for an experienced professional who can contribute towards the delivery of excellent client services, staff development and continuous service improvement as well as contribute their professional expertise to the development of Financial Systems including the ongoing annual upgrades of the Oracle eBusiness Suite.
You will work closely with other members of the Finance team, senior managers and external agencies providing expert professional financial advice ensuring the highest standards of client service, professional practice and financial governance are achieved.

The initial salary placement within this range will take account of the previous experience and demonstrated competences and skills of the successful candidate. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
