We are a Catholic Primary school that has been part of the Lochend Community since the 1930s. We have 30 children attending our nursery class. In the main school, we have 197 children across 8 classes, of which two are composite classes. Our nursery class and school population are very diverse, with children of many nationalities and 21 different home languages being spoken.
The School Leadership Team consists of Head Teacher, Principal Teacher and part-time Business Manager. The Nursery Team consists of an Early Years Officer, three Early Years Practitioners and an Early Years Assistant. We have a School Administrator, part-time School Support Assistant and 6 permanent Pupil Support Assistants.
The successful candidate must demonstrate extensive experience in delivering a wide range of administrative, clerical and general office support services. They must be able to manage the school diary and provide a confidential PA service to the Head Teacher, ensuring a welcoming environment for parents and visitors, and dealing with any difficulties in a confidential and appropriate manner.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
