A fixed term Pupil Support Leader is required to join Leith Academy's dynamic, progressive and forward-thinking integrated support team with effect from September 2026 until 28th May 2027. Specific remits will be agreed across the team once the successful candidate is appointed. The PSL will manage and lead support for pupils. S/he will be an active member of the school leadership team and be responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of effective support for young people and their families.

Leith Academy is a diverse and comprehensive secondary school in Edinburgh, the school roll is currently around 1000 pupils.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
