Salary: £26,806-£27,032 (pro rata for part time and sessional)

Hours: 27.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional

Working Pattern: Mondays to Thursdays 8:30 to 15:15 and Fridays 8:30 to 12:30 with breaks

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and caring individual who is committed to supporting our young people to meet their full potential.

Opened in 1931, Wardie Primary School is situated in North Edinburgh and is part of the Trinity Cluster. The school roll is 450 with a 40 place nursery. We have 22 teaching staff and a Senior Leadership Team made up of 1 Head Teacher, 2 Depute Head Teachers, 1 Principal Teacher, and 1 Business Manager. There are 27 Support Staff including Administrators, Clerical Assistants, Pupil Support Assistants, Early Years Officers, Early Years Practitioners, Early Years Assistants, and Early Years Domestics.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
