Workplace: Nether Currie Primary School, Nether Currie Primary Early Learning and Childcare

Salary and Hours:

  • Salary: £26,806-£27,032
  • Hours: 27.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional
  • Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 3.15pm and Friday 8.30am to 12.15pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils in their learning and wellbeing as part of a team.
  • Attend training sessions and develop skills for working with children and young people.
  • Assist with classroom management and support teachers during lessons.
  • Apply communication and interpersonal skills to interact positively with students.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Desirable: Previous experience working in a school.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Regulatory Requirements:

  • Regulated work under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
  • Required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
  • Overseas Criminal Record Check if spent 3+ months abroad in last 5 years.
  • Unconditional offer subject to satisfactory pre‑employment checks.
