Advanced Practitioner (Young People's Service) City Chambers (Working across Edinburgh)

Salary: £47,639 - £56,392 Hours: 36 per week We are looking for an enthusiastic advanced practitioner to join our Young People's Service (YPS) working with children and young people aged 12 -18 who are in conflict with the law.

We work in partnership with children, young people and their families on a voluntary and statutory basis within both the children's hearings and criminal justice systems.

We are a team committed to supporting children and young people to realise their potential.

You will be responsible for holding a varied caseload including holding legal orders, undertaking risk assessments using START: AV and AIM 3, writing reports for the Children's Reporter, Procurator Fiscal and Court and delivering interventions.

Registration with SSSC is required.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.

The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.

Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.

You will be required to provide this check.
