We are looking for Adult Education Tutors to deliver groupwork to parents and carers to support provision coordinated within the Parent and Carer Support, Wellbeing and Child Poverty Team.

If you have benefited from a parenting programme or have trained up in one, you could help us to facilitate universal and targeted evidenced based parenting courses to other parents and carers across Edinburgh.

You will be supported to plan, prepare, deliver and facilitate programmes ensuring fidelity to the course materials. These can be from 3-14 week duration (commitment required is usually 2-3 hours a week).

Experience in supporting families and facilitating group work is desirable along with excellent communication skills, enthusiasm and sensitivity to diverse cultures and backgrounds.

This is a casual tertiary contract with no minimum hours guaranteed. This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
