The City of Edinburgh Council is leading one of the most ambitious new build housing programmes in the country. Delivery of new affordable homes is a key action within Edinburgh's Housing Emergency Action Plan.
An opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to join the Development & Regeneration team and help lead and deliver key projects and programmes of work. We are not only building new homes, we are also creating new places.
Responsibilities
- Help lead and deliver key projects and programmes of work
- Apply excellent knowledge of the full development lifecycle including construction, statutory approvals, development finance and procurement
- Work in partnership with Council colleagues, local communities and other stakeholders to provide a strong communication and engagement approach
- Appoint and confidently manage design teams, project managers and other consultants
Qualifications
- Experience of delivering major capital building or housing‐led regeneration projects and programmes
- Demonstrable experience of working at a senior level to lead projects on time and within budget
- Construction‐related qualification
- Drive, enthusiasm and motivation to deliver significant projects for the public sector
