Salary: £26,337 - £28,835 (pro-rata for part time and sessional)
Hours: 31 per week, 40 weeks sessional
Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday 8.30am till 15:30pm & Friday 8:00am to 13:00pm
As a senior member of the business support team, you will have excellent organisational and time management skills supported by extensive relevant local authority or school experience. You will be flexible, well organised and have excellent interpersonal skills. Often the first point of contact with parents/carers and the public, efficient yet compassionate and personable communication skills to build relationships are essential. Additionally, experience in the day-to-day management of a busy office-based team is essential. Impeccable administrative skills are required as is the ability to create, implement and maintain administrative systems to ensure the smooth running of our busy school office.
You will also work closely with the Business Manager & the Head Teacher and be involved in the daily monitoring and administration of financial activities. Experience working with financial systems and processes is desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to manage and operate various computerised systems and have sound knowledge and experience in this area. A working knowledge of SEEMIS and other school-based systems would be an advantage as would the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
