Hours: 36 per week, 39 weeks sessional
Working pattern for position is Monday - Thursday (0800-1615hrs) and Friday (0800-1300hrs).
We are looking for an enthusiastic early years practitioner to join our team, who has a nurturing approach and commitment to delivering high quality learning experiences to the children in our setting.
Duddingston nursery class is part of Duddingston Primary School, a non-denominational school situated in the North East of Edinburgh and part of the Portobello Learning Community. Our nursery operates on a term-time basis and has 60 full time places for children aged 3-5 years. Built in 2016, our nursery has a secure outdoor and garden area which the children have access to at all times.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
