Early Years Domestic Support - fixed term until 05/02/2027

Salary: £26,205 - £26,525 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)

Hours: 16 per week, 39 weeks sessional

The expected start date is 10/08/2026. Pennywell Early Learning and Childcare opened in August 2024. This exciting new centre for providing high quality learning experiences for children and families is part of the MacMillan Hub. MacMillan Hub is a community focused, collaborative location which will provide a range of services for the local community through partnership working with North Edinburgh Arts and the relocated Muirhouse library.

We are now looking to recruit an enthusiastic Early Years Domestic Support Assistant on a fixed term basis. The successful candidate will work Monday - Thursday 0930 - 1330.

Although no formal qualification is required, candidates should have a good basic education and be literate and numerate. This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
