Granton Early Years is a large, busy setting, with capacity for 64 children at any one time, attending various patterns of attendance between 8am and 6pm, 52 weeks per year. We work in partnership with our families to promote children's learning and development; helping to close the attainment gap and ensure equity for all.

As we continue to develop our service, our setting is a very natural environment with outdoor spaces that back onto the local Community Garden, with the Community Centre situated next door. We encourage our team to strive for high standards with support and development opportunities available at all levels.

We are now recruiting two experienced Early Years Practitioners to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidates will be passionate about supporting children to be confident, capable individuals and helping them to achieve their full potential. Our practitioners will be highly skilled at enhancing children's learning and development, understand their role in supporting children to lead their own learning and will be enthusiastic about creating meaningful experiences and spaces.

They will be effective team members who contribute to the ethos and values of our setting through good communication and professional discussion, using their training and knowledge to demonstrate their enthusiasm for Early Years. The successful candidates will be required to work shift patterns within the setting, between the hours of 07.45hrs and 18.00hrs, Monday-Friday, with some late shifts on rotation, within each month.

Please note - You must ensure that you have one of the following qualifications before you apply: SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) SCQF Level 7 or HNC Childhood Practice. When completing the application form please state the name of your qualification and level as stated above.
