Role Overview
Assisting a council early years provision in meeting the educational, care, and welfare needs of all children, ensuring those with additional support needs can access the curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively as a member of the early years team.
- Assist in meeting educational, care and welfare needs of all children.
- Support children with additional needs to access the curriculum.
- Carry out general clerical duties as required in support of children’s learning.
- Provide day‑to‑day operational support to the Early Years Centre as directed by the Head Teacher/Head of Centre or nominated staff.
Requirements
- Regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
- Must be a member of the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
- Must provide an Overseas Criminal Record Check if spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years.
- Unconditional offer of employment contingent on satisfactory checks.
