Salary: £40,501 - £47,639 Hours: 36 per week The City of Edinburgh Council's, Children, Education, and Communities Department are looking for a Development Officer for Performance Quality, and Improvement.

This post holder will be responsible for the development, review, and updating of multi-agency policies, procedures, plans, and strategies.

The postholder will work across all areas of public protection - Child Protection, Adult Protection, Equally Safe, Prevent, as well as others.

The Development Officer will work extensively with Lead Officers to Protection Committees.

This is a new post situated within the Public Protection Service and managed directly by the Service Manager for Public Protection.

Educated to degree level in a relevant subject connected to social work, social policy, education, or community development.

This position is subject to Standard Disclosure check.

Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.

You will be required to provide this check.

An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
