Hours: 27.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional
Working pattern for position is Monday to Friday.
We are looking for a conscientious, committed candidate who will work within both our Welfare Area and provide an element of support to the school office. The role will cover the following:
- Being the primary point of contact for pupils who are unwell and require support, as well as staffing the school welfare desk.
- Organise the school's medical supplies and ensure the welfare room is fully equipped and maintained.
- Administer the physical PPR's (personal pupil records) and the transition of new files from feeder primary schools, and the archiving of old files.
- Administers pupil medical plans and details of specific pupil medical requirements and medication.
- Manage the school's lost property and pupil lockers.
- Provide support to the office team as and when required.
The successful candidate will be required to become a trained First Aider and this will be arranged upon joining the school.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
