The predicted salary is between 26806 - 27032 £ per year.

Salary: £26,806 - £27,032 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)

Hours: 33.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional

Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 4pm & Friday 8:30am - 2pm.

We are seeking a skilled, motivated and enthusiastic Clerical Assistant to provide administrative support within our main school office as required. The post holder will be responsible for secretarial and clerical assistance for our school. The successful candidate will have experience of working in a busy office environment and be willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

They will have excellent organisational and time management skills supported by relevant experience. They will have excellent interpersonal skills to ensure the smooth running of our school office. While you will require a full PVG disclosure, this role is one of the supporting staff team and does not involve working directly with young people.

The successful candidate will be expected to manage and operate various computerised systems and have sound knowledge and experience in this area. A working knowledge of SEEMIS and other school-based systems would be an advantage as would the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Candidates will be expected to provide basic first aid and administer medication as appropriate. A suitable qualification in first aid or a willingness to undertake any necessary training is essential.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
