A fixed term opportunity until 30/06/2027 for an experienced and enthusiastic person to join the Low-Rise Block Management team within the Area Based Regeneration & Shared Repairs service. You will assist the team in developing and implementing a mixed tenure housing service for the city of Edinburgh.
The postholder will take a lead role in managing contact with private owners and tenants during single building assessments, and where required, through cladding remediation works under the Housing (Cladding Remediation) (Scotland) Act. Responsibilities include:
- Producing and distributing communications and newsletters to keep owners and tenants informed of progress throughout each stage of the process.
- Delivering common repairs projects to enable investment in mixed tenure blocks where the Council has an interest as a co-owner/landlord.
- Assisting in securing private owner agreement.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, case management skills, and a commitment to assist the surveying team in delivering large scale housing investment. Experience in customer services, IT systems operation, and administration skills is essential, alongside the ability to think strategically and work with stakeholders to develop innovative approaches.
