The predicted salary is between 26337 - 28835 £ per year.

Salary: £26,337 - £28,835 (pro-rata for part time and sessional)

Hours: 27.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional

Working pattern for position is Monday - Thursday 8.30 a.m. - 3.15 p.m. and Friday 8.30 a.m. - 12.25 p.m.

This is a position in an Enhanced Support Base (ESB) within Broughton Primary School. The ESB meets the needs of learners with complex, long term additional support needs who require a modified learning environment. The needs of learners are primarily associated with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Each class has a maximum of 8 learners.

Pupil Support Workers work as part of a class team, along with the class teacher, and an EYP to support learners to reach their full potential. We are looking for conscientious, committed candidates with excellent inter-personal and communication skills.

There will be many training opportunities to support you in working with our children. It is desirable that applicants should have experience working with children with additional support needs and working in schools.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
