Pupil Support Worker at City of Edinburgh Council, St Crispin's School
Salary: £27, - £29, (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)
Hours: 30 per week, 39 weeks sessional
Working pattern for position is Monday - Thursday 8.30 a.m. - 3.35 p.m. and Friday 8.25 a.m. - 1.20 p.m.
St Crispin's is a special school for primary and secondary age pupils. The school meets the needs of learners with complex, long-term additional support needs who require a significantly modified learning environment. The needs of learners are primarily associated with intellectual disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Facilities include:
- 12 classrooms
- Art, Music, Home Economics classrooms
- PE hall and swimming pool
- Sensory and soft play rooms
Each class has a maximum of 6 learners. Pupil Support Workers work as part of a class team, along with the class teacher, to support each learner to reach their full potential.
It is desirable that applicants should have experience working with children with intellectual disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Full-time and part-time positions available.
