The City of Dover is currently seeking a detail-orientated, creative and highly motivated team member with excellent customer service skills for the position of part-time Library Clerk I in the Dover Public Library.
Job Responsibilities
· Check library materials in and out, shelving as needed; process library card applications, collect library fees/fines using register and credit card machine.
· Answers questions and handles library account issues in-person/via telephone; refers to appropriate staff as needed.
· Locate and process hold requests; pack, send & receive materials through transit system.
Required Qualifications
· High School Diploma or GED.
· One (1) year of experience working in an in-person customer service setting.
· Basic knowledge of computers and office equipment.
· Pushing up to 50 lbs. and physical activity during most of the scheduled shift.
· Available to work evenings and weekend shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
· One (1) year library experience and some college.
