You have an opportunity to be part of this in the role of a Senior Legal Officer advising and representing Doncaster’s Children, Young People and Families directorate in a varied range of children and young people legal matters.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and representation in children and young people matters, with experience in the relevant area of law.
  • The role requires qualification as a Solicitor, Legal Executive with litigation rights or Barrister and experience in children/family law, including advocacy, drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Established background of managing a caseload of care and pre-proceedings public law outline cases.
  • Good communication skills and ability to manage time effectively and efficiently.

The childcare legal team is a well-established, supportive, dedicated and friendly team with regular supervision and opportunities for further learning and development.
