Street Scene is a high-profile service responsible for delivering the Council’s ‘Cleaner, Greener’ commitments and providing a high-quality living environment for the citizens of Doncaster. The Council’s commitment to this programme has seen significant investment into our tree management programme and Tree Team in recent years. Trees play an especially important role in enhancing the quality of life across the borough by improving air quality, removing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen.

The ideal candidate will possess certification in all relevant chainsaw, climbing, aerial rescue, MEWP, rigging and grounds operations and have a strong work ethic, excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the necessary supervisory and motivation skills to manage a team and ensure that tree works are completed safely and within timescales.

This role would suit an already experienced climbing arborist with some experience of leading a team or those wanting to progress into becoming a chargehand arborist. Full uniform and PPE will be provided. Career development is something we take seriously, and we are committed to providing our employees with the knowledge, skills and experience to grow.

With a strong and supportive management behind you, you’ll play a key part in helping us achieve our aims and assist in driving forward our vision to shape Doncaster’s urban forest for the benefit of present and future generations.
