We’re looking for someone with a passion for research and insight to join our team at Bristol SU! You’ll get stuck into everything from recruiting participants and collecting data, with opportunities to dive into analysis and discover what students really think. One day you might research ways to improve the academic experience of a demographic group, and the next you could be uncovering how students feel about SU events, services, and support.

We are specifically looking for a University of Bristol student with technical qualitative or quantitative research experience, who wants the opportunity to further develop their research skills. If you're keen to turn student voices into real change, we’d love to hear from you!

What will you bring?

  • You’ll have experience with surveys, focus groups or data analysis.
  • You’ll be able to confidently approach and talk to students, with a curiosity for research and genuine interest in student life and experiences.
  • You know how to communicate clearly – both written and verbal, have strong attention to detail when collecting or entering data, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have an organised approach to managing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • (Bonus!) You have experience with quantitative analyses and statistics.

We are a Living Wage accredited organisation. We offer the flexibility for work-study balance. What’s more, you will get 20 days of paid annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, pro-rata depending on your hours worked. You are eligible to opt-in to our contributory pension scheme.

Working at Bristol SU will give you access to a range of opportunities including the chance to shadow members of staff to learn more about what they do as well as excellent training and development opportunities to help you pursue your chosen career.
