We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join our college community.

As Senior Health and Safety Advisor, you will support the Health and Safety Manager in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment across the College, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, approved codes of practice and internal policy. You will work closely with Directors, Managers, staff, trade union representatives and contractors to provide practical, hands‑on advice, develop and review risk assessments and safe systems of work, and support the continuous improvement of health and safety standards.
The role includes attending and contributing to relevant committees and management meetings, producing clear procedures and reports, undertaking inspections and investigations, and advising on new and emerging legislation and its implications. You will also deliver presentations and training, liaise with People Services on occupational health matters, contribute to fire safety management and deputise for the Health and Safety Manager as required. Maintaining professional competence, supporting safeguarding responsibilities, contributing to cross-college projects and delivering a high-quality, customer-focused service are integral to the role.
