As a Level 2 swimming teacher you will help teach and coach people of all ages and abilities to develop swimming skills, technique and confidence in the water. Applicants will be customer focused, have a positive and problem solving attitude at all times and demonstrate an aptitude for teamwork.
These positions will complete the swimming pool rota ensuring a safe and effective swimming pool operation.
What will you be doing?
- Working on a successful learn to swim programme, delivering a range of lessons to children and adults.
- Planning and delivering swimming lessons in line with the scheme of work and creating lesson plans.
- Identifying participants' abilities and encouraging them to reach their full potential.
- Providing explanations and demonstrating swimming techniques.
- Correcting faults in swimming techniques and identifying ways to improve performance for individual swimmers.
- Being a positive role model, creating a positive and fun environment to motivate and encourage participation in swimming.
- Regularly assessing each participant's ability and progress and arranging for the award of appropriate certificates.

The swim school runs Monday to Friday evenings between the hours of 16:00 - 20:00 as well as Saturday and Sunday mornings between 8:00 - 12:30. Post 1 Saturdays 8:30-12:00. Various ad hoc hours also available.
Applicants will need to demonstrate teamwork and hard work to deliver a fantastic experience for all our students, staff and community users whilst adhering to our Health & Safety policies.
