We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager – primarily for FE and HE Counselling with some additional programmes to also come in this portfolio. Our new colleague will join our college community as they lecture and lead across these study programmes. The ideal candidate will be an inspiring, innovative and team-focussed individual with a real desire to create maximum impact. The main teaching requirement is to teach on the level 3 Counselling course. This will require experience and knowledge of counselling, applied psychology, mentorship, ethics and personal development.

About your role:

The Programme Manager for Counselling is a key role in the department, and the successful candidate will lead on these programmes from Level 2 up to degree level having responsibility for both the team and the curriculum. Our Counselling programmes are currently run predominantly from our Ashley Down campus with courses also run out of our South Bristol Skills Academy and College Green sites. The successful candidate will teach on department programmes as they also lead and inspire their team to provide excellence in teaching, learning and student experience.

Working with the other department Programme Managers and Head of Department, you will ensure the quality of curriculum provision and learner experience. You will build relationships with those who you line manage and colleagues in the wider college community, as well as external stakeholders including the AOs, our HE providers and employer partners.
