Contract: Nil Hours until June 2027. One evening a week 6‑9pm for 2 × 8‑week courses.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our vibrant college community as a Ceramicist Evening Course Tutor at our College Green Campus. This role suits a practising ceramicist, maker or creative practitioner who is passionate about sharing their specialist skills with adult learners in a supportive, creative and professionally managed studio environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver two 8‑week evening ceramics courses on Tuesday evenings within our ceramics space at College Green.
- Support learners to develop confidence with clay, materials, processes and techniques, while creating a welcoming and inspiring learning environment.
- Introduce learners to a range of ceramics processes, demonstrate safe and effective use of tools, materials and equipment, and support learners to produce creative outcomes within a studio setting.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning experience, supporting learners with varied levels of confidence and experience.
- Support the ongoing development of ceramics evening provision, with potential for future course growth.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Practical experience as a ceramicist, maker or creative practitioner.
- Ability to teach adult learners and share specialist skills.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to inclusive teaching.
