City of Bristol College is seeking a passionate and experienced Careers and Employability Advisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in guiding and supporting our diverse student body towards successful careers. Your expertise will help students explore their career aspirations, develop employability skills, and secure meaningful employment opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering a professional and student-centred Career Education, Information, Advice, and Guidance (CEIAG) service.
  • Inspiring individuals by showcasing the diverse opportunities available in education, training, and employment.
  • Providing inclusive support tailored to individual needs, fostering aspirations and facilitating positive student outcomes.
  • Ensuring compliance with Gatsby Benchmarks, Matrix Standards, and Ofsted requirements across the college.
  • Collaborating closely with teaching staff and personal development tutors to embed careers guidance into the curriculum.
  • Supporting the design and delivery of comprehensive careers programmes and workshops.
  • Engaging with local labour market information to empower students to make informed decisions about their career paths.
  • Contributing to progression activities, monitoring student attendance and progress, and facilitating workshops on essential employability topics.

We provide education and training to approximately 12,000 students each year.
