The University of Bristol has an opportunity for a dynamic, experienced and multi-skilled hospitality & catering manager to lead a diverse team within one of its flagship catering outlets. The role will suit someone who has experience managing catering/F&B outlets, events & hospitality.
What will you be doing? You will assist with the management of a catering area or areas within our catering estate, having responsibility for the people working in that area as well as P&L’s, marketing, compliance, service standards and anything else. Leading from the front, you will set the direction, seek continuous improvement and ensure we are delivering a fantastic service to our students, university colleagues and customers. This is a high profile role in the university and you’ll rely on your people skills to develop great relationships across departments and with the senior leadership.
You should apply if:
- Experience and knowledge of catering and hospitality food service, coupled with experience in a similar role including events.
- Experience supervising/managing people, concept innovation, continuous improvement, tech solutions, P&L’s & marketing.
- Experience working with external stakeholders.
- Great communicator and able to care for and develop your team.
- Highly organised with excellent computer literacy skills including operating knowledge of Microsoft office and the ability to understand and use other software packages.
- Experience with working to set standards and ensuring consistency across team.
- Hold the relevant qualifications in food safety and health & safety.
