The predicted salary is between 31500 - 38500 Β£ per year.

The Lift Surveyor works within the Mechanical and Electrical Compliance team which forms part of the larger Asset & Facilities Management team working for the Built Environment at the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council. The primary focus of the Lift Surveyor is to ensure the authority maintains compliance in all our portfolio with relevant health and safety legislation and accurately monitor and manage identified works within our corporate portfolio of properties.

Our management team is seeking candidates with a proven track record within the field of Lift Surveying and or project management. Candidates must be enthusiastic, good communicators and experienced in ensuring the Authority meets its statutory and legislative responsibilities with regards to all lifts and lifting equipment within the authority across a variety of assets.

We are looking for a Lift Surveyor to join our dedicated team in Asset & Facilities Management, Corporate Resources. The role will have responsibility to provide the condition information across our varied portfolio of corporate buildings. Candidates must be organised, have an eye for detail, enthusiastic, possess strong written and verbal communicator skills with a minimum experience of seven years within the Lifting industry. The ability to work well independently but have a strong team player attitude is essential for this role. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city.

The main responsibilities of this role:

  • Carry out Condition surveys including, general condition surveys and full report writing.
  • To carry out urgent surveys and take appropriate action when required.
  • Produce and prepare accurate survey reports.
  • Prepare estimates for each element of works valued from 100.00 to 500,000.00.
  • Carry out surveys for potential 3rd party clients.
  • Keep up to date with new technologies, new installation methods, products and pricing methods.
  • Raise orders to our helpdesk for small urgent repairs.
  • Prepare detailed design specifications for all departments of the Council inclusive of offices, respite centres, theatres, schools and domestic properties.
  • Understanding of all current Health and Safety Legislation, along with a good knowledge of current CDM Regulations, current planning and Building Regulations.
  • Update the lift section database.
  • Project manage new lifts and lifting equipment installations.
