Job IntroductionBradford Council is seeking enthusiastic, dedicated learning support assistants who have a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The resourced provision (RP) service provides tailored support for children with communication and interaction needs, including Autism, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH). We have established several successful Resourced Provisions across both primary and secondary schools throughout Bradford. We are now seeking SEND Learning Support Assistants with the skills, knowledge and experience to expand the high-quality support. Support children with communication and interaction / SEMH needs within resourced provisions both 1:1 and in small groups. To support the inclusive education of children with SEND in mainstream school. To support children's learning and development across primary or secondary age ranges (you will be asked for your preference at interview).To work closely with both the RP and mainstream teams to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment for all children. To support children's learning, development, skills and independence so that they can achieve their full potential. We're Looking For: Essential Criteria – GCSE Maths and English: Level 4 / Grade C or above (or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths and English)Experience, knowledge and understanding of supporting children or young people with SEND.Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and staff teams. A genuine passion for working with and improving outcomes for children with SEND.A proactive, flexible and creative approach to problem solving. A strong understanding of safeguarding principles and a dedication to ensuring the safety of children and young people.
