Education and Learning - Specialist Teaching & Support Service (STaSS) Children's Sensory and Physical Needs Service Qualified Teacher of Children and Young People with Vision Impairment.
Our vision is to provide high quality support for all Bradford children and young people using a collaborative approach through transformational learning experiences so that they can flourish, make excellent holistic progress and successfully transition to responsible citizens.
Qualified Teacher of the Vision Impaired 3 days a week - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday to complement an established working pattern. You will work as part of a team of specialist staff to contribute to the effective and efficient teaching and learning for vision impaired pupils at Grove House Local Authority led Resourced Provision.
- Work flexibly within the structure of the Children's Sensory and Physical Needs Service, ensuring the raised achievement and maximum inclusion of children with vision impairment through high quality teaching and learning.
- Work as part of the Local Authority led Resourced Provision team within the primary resourced provision for children with vision impairment to provide direct assessment, including for statutory processes, teaching and intervention to children with vision impairment, to effect good transitions from nursery/home settings and onto secondary, with particular regard to their education, social and emotional development, and improving outcomes.
- Promote partnerships with families, professionals and a range of agencies, and participate in appropriate meetings with colleagues and parents/carers relating to all duties in this document, preparing reports and other documentation needed to ensure pupils' needs are identified and appropriately met.
