Overview
In this role you support the General Licensing team to ensure compliant policing of alcohol, gambling premises and street trading. You will work to enforce statutory and local licensing standards, advise the public and stakeholders, and conduct field checks to verify licensing compliance. The position offers the chance to impact city licensing service delivery and public safety. You will operate within regulatory frameworks and contribute to a responsive, professional licensing service.
Responsibilities
- Assist in enforcing statutory and local licensing requirements, regulations and conditions
- Provide advice and support to the public, elected members and external partners within UK GDPR guidelines
- Engage with licensees and the public in a fair, professional manner and offer guidance as needed
- Undertake field-based enforcement to ensure compliance and timely payment of fees for licensable activities
