Overview
In this EHCP Officer role, you support SENDIAT by managing administrative tasks across Education, Health and Care Assessments and EHCPs.
You work closely with families, schools, health partners, and other agencies to ensure timely, accurate documentation and compliant processes.
The role blends casework interface duties with training and policy updates to keep the team operating smoothly.
It offers hybrid working and a structured induction to help you contribute from day one while growing with policy changes.

Responsibilities
- Process Education, Health and Care Assessments from referral to final EHCP
- Initiate EHCA requests via SEND Online Portal or other methods in the database
- Request and process Stage 1 and Stage 2 advice
- Issue Draft and Final EHCPs
- Provide administrative support to SEND locality teams and Complex & Vulnerable Team
- Train new EHCP Officers and support policy and practice changes
- Ensure post handling complies with SEND Code of Practice and local policy
- Handle visits, phone calls, correspondence and complaints with guidance from senior staff
- Ensure produced documents are accurate and uphold high standards
- Work on a hybrid basis with office presence during induction and flexible attendance thereafter
- Support the phone rota and office cover as required
