Salary: £39.11 per hour inclusive of pro rata holiday entitlement and preparation time.

Contract Type: Fixed Term

Hours of work: Fridays 18:30 – 20:30 during term-time, starting September 2026, fixed-term for one academic year.

Location: Covent Garden, London

We are looking for acting teacher(s) with a specialisation in improvisation and/or comedy improvisation. The successful candidate will plan, teach and evaluate courses, helping to bring together people across the capital and beyond and to enrich lives through learning.

Responsibilities and expectations include:

  • Plan, teach and assess improvisation and comedy improvisation courses for adult learners.
  • Engage students and foster an inspiring learning environment.
  • Gather and analyse student progress data and support students in overcoming learning barriers.
  • Contribute to the School of Performing Arts curriculum and collaborate with related departments.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant training in improvisation or comedy improvisation for actors.
  • Experience teaching or facilitating improvisation and/or comedy improvisation to adults in group settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and track student progress.
  • Enthusiasm for improvisation that can inspire and attract students.
