Location: Covent Garden, London
Hours of Work: 75 Course Leader hours paid in equal amounts per term over the duration of the course.
Salary: Course Leader hours are paid at £25.57 per hour inclusive of pro rata holiday entitlement. Any teaching will be paid at £38.72 per hour, inclusive of pro rata holiday entitlement and preparation time.
About the role
Are you an experienced and creative Advanced Painting Tutor? Then join our Visual Arts Department, helping to bring together people across the capital and beyond to enrich lives through learning. In this role, you will lead the development and delivery of ‘Advanced painting: practice and discourse’, a thriving course which focuses on contemporary practices and debates in painting and provides an alternative to the HE routes into professional practice.
You will coordinate, supervise and support a small team of practicing artist-tutors in delivering the course, which consists of weekend workshops, online sessions and guest lectures. You will provide one to one mentoring and pastoral support to students on both years of this course, as well as carrying out the necessary administrative and quality assurance procedures relevant to the course, and teaching on the programme as necessary.

- Excellent subject knowledge in practical and theoretical contexts, both contemporary and historical.
- A qualification in a related subject, and or relevant experience and evidence of current practice or research.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Relevant experience of working in adult education, FE or HE, in academic delivery or development.
- The ability to lead and work constructively within a team.
- The ability to coordinate busy workloads, manage projects to delivery, and prioritise to meet deadlines.
