We are seeking an experienced and creative Basketry Tutor to plan, deliver and assess high-quality short courses for adult learners. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop their skills across a range of levels from beginner to advanced learners. As one of a few colleges offering this subject, we aim to provide access to general skills alongside more specialist workshops in a range of relevant subject areas such as coiling, twining, cordage, and working with materials such as Cane and Rush and unconventional materials.
Responsibilities and experience required
- A high level of basketry in a specialism.
- Experience teaching adults in a visual arts setting.
- Experience planning and delivering practical studio-based learning.
- Ability to assess learner work and provide effective developmental feedback.
- Experience supporting learners with diverse needs and backgrounds.
