Location: Covent Garden, London

Salary: £27,094 – £30,579 depending on experience

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday (hours of work will be between 09:00 – 18:00, with flexibility to work occasional evenings and/or weekends to support events by prior arrangement)

Start Date: The anticipated start date for this role will be in March 2025

Are you an organised and proactive Administrator looking to utilise this skill set within a thriving learning environment? Then why not join our Centre for Deaf Education, where you will provide responsive and efficient administrative support for BSL and Lipreading courses to the School Operations Manager, Head of Centre, Tutor Coordinators and teaching staff as required in line with City Lit systems and procedures.

The Centre for Deaf Education at City Lit is a nationally recognised hub for deaf and hard of hearing adults. We offer a wide range of courses including BSL, Lipreading and Deaf Awareness, supporting learners to develop communication skills, confidence, and independence. The team includes highly experienced tutors, many of whom are deaf themselves, and we are committed to creating an accessible and empowering learning environment. You’ll play a key role in supporting the department including managing course schedules, maintaining student records, supporting promotional activities, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

  • Proven experience in administration and customer service.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and student data systems (e.g. EBS, Apply).
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management.

  • A minimum of BSL level 2 qualification.
