The Role: Working closely with the Head of Sustainable Supply Chain & Social Value, Director of ESG, Sustainability and Health & Safety, and various other Heads of Departments, this role will support the business in delivering social value initiatives and help us, our customers and supply partners to deliver social value. As the role evolves you will take further ownership of the strategy, co-ordinating all areas of social value, within the business.
Key Responsibilities:- In collaboration with internal stakeholders, identify, capture and report on the current social value metrics that reflect CEF's activities.
- In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, implement the social value strategy, policies and targets with a focus on charities and volunteering.
- Own, manage and drive the day-to-day relationship with the national charity partners.
- Support the National Accounts & Projects department with tenders, bids and customer presentations to ensure social value requirements are delivered in accordance with customer contractual requirements and industry best practice frameworks.
- Develop, implement and manage a reporting framework to monitor social value goals, requirements and KPIs.
- Produce relevant internal and external briefings and reports on social value outcomes.
- Plan and manage meetings with local communities, customer projects and stakeholders when required (some meetings may require out of hours attendance).
- Create compelling case studies and other content to support the wider Communications & Marketing Plan.
- Support delivery of the broader SSV Strategy, including data, analytics and reporting requirements.
About You: An authentic passion to champion and drive social value throughout the business. A construction, public sector or project management background is preferred. Have a strong sense of teamwork and willingness to go above and beyond. An understanding of the latest social value drivers, policies and delivery mechanisms. Experience of social value frameworks including Social Value Portal / TOMs and Social Value Model. Evidence of nurturing relationships with customers, colleagues, supply partners and other service providers. Demonstrable experience of communicating and interfacing with customers. Strong presentation skills. Ability to motivate and influence people. A pragmatic and commercial attitude to sustainability within an entrepreneurial, ambitious business. Always acting with integrity and with a diligent approach to organising work and dealing with customer requirements. Strong administrative skills – organised, accurate and methodical with demonstrable project management and reporting skills.
