Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvements across finance processes and systems, with a focus on optimising Workday functionality.
  • Lead the delivery of finance systems projects and support the continued rollout of Workday across global phases.
  • Act as a trusted link between Finance, IT, and third parties to ensure successful outcomes and alignment.
  • Build user confidence and engagement through regular training, user groups, and clear documentation.
  • Ensure robust support and best‑practice governance for Finance IT operations and business‑as‑usual needs.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with finance systems (ideally Workday) and a deep understanding of core finance processes.
  • Key role experience in ERP implementations, process improvements, and change delivery.
  • Effective communication skills, confident problem‑solving, and stakeholder influence.
  • Critical thinking and attention to detail to assess competing priorities and deliver practical solutions.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, and capable of leading others while working independently.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Workday configuration, upgrades, and support.
  • Knowledge of consolidation, intercompany accounting, and other finance functions.
  • Proficiency in SQL, VBA, and advanced Excel.

Location

This role is based in our modern Durham – Janet Nash House or Kenilworth – Georgina Mackie House offices. A hybrid model, typically 3 days per week on site, with flexibility around business needs. Travel to other business sites will also be required.
