You'll support patients through a range of health checks and clinical care activities, helping them stay well and access the support they need. Working as part of a skilled and supportive nursing team, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality care and a positive patient experience.
This role involves both direct patient care and supporting the smooth running of clinical services. You will work closely with registered healthcare professionals, patients, carers and partner agencies, contributing to safe, effective and person-centred care.
Main duties of the job
What you'll do:
- Carry out health checks, observations and clinical procedures such as blood pressure monitoring, wound care, vene puncture and ECGs within agreed competencies
- Support patients and carers with advice and information, helping them understand their care and treatment
- Record patient information accurately using electronic systems and maintain high standards of documentation
- Prepare clinical rooms and equipment, maintain stock levels and support the safe running of clinics
- Work with colleagues across the wider healthcare team to deliver coordinated care
What we're looking for:
- Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, or equivalent experience, and a Care Certificate or willingness to achieve this during induction
- Experience working in a healthcare setting and managing your own workload
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a caring and respectful approach
- Basic IT skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
