This is a great opportunity to build skills in healthcare administration while supporting people at an important time in their lives. You'll be part of the Integrated Nursing & Conditions Service, working within the Specialist Palliative Care Multi Disciplinary Team. The team supports patients, families and clinicians by making sure information is accurate, timely and handled with care. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide comprehensive administrative support to the service to enable the service to run smoothly to support clinical colleagues in their delivery of patient care.
Main duties of the job
- Provide day to day administrative support to the specialist palliative care service
- Manage records, correspondence and data with a high level of accuracy
- Support meetings, appointments and communication across the team
- Prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment
- Handle sensitive and emotive information with professionalism and compassion

Person specification
- Level 3 in Business Administration or Customer Service or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Level 2 in Word Processing and Text Production
- Comprehensive knowledge of a range of routine administration procedures
- Knowledge of a range of software programmes, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of other Microsoft packages
Experience
- Previous experience of working in an office environment and carrying out general office procedures
- Previous experience of supervising a team
- Previous experience of working with the general public
- Experience of SystmOne functions
- Previous NHS experience
