This role helps people attending Holy Name Day Centre by leading a caring, supportive team and ensuring they receive safe, person‑centred support that meets their individual needs. You’ll work closely with Day Centre assistants and the management team to keep services running well each day. Your leadership will help create a warm, respectful environment where people feel valued, included and able to take part in activities that enhance their wellbeing.
What you’ll do:
- Lead, guide and supervise Day Centre assistants to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care
- Promote best practice and support colleagues to develop their skills
- Assist the Manager and Deputy with daily operations and deputise in their absence
- Help plan and deliver meaningful activities that support people’s independence and wellbeing
- Build positive relationships with individuals, families and partners to support safe, consistent care
What we’re looking for:
- Experience supporting people in a care or community setting
- Confidence leading or coordinating a small team
- Strong communication skills and a calm, supportive approach
- Ability to stay organised and make safe decisions when managing daily tasks
- You might have worked in care, support, education or community services, and training will be available to help you build your skills
