The predicted salary is between 18900 - 23100 Β£ per year.
You'll support patients and visitors through front of house reception services, helping them access care smoothly and feel welcomed. You'll be part of the Care Coordination Customer Service Team, working across multiple health centre receptions. Your role is key to creating a positive first impression and keeping services running safely and efficiently. You'll work closely with clinical and admin teams to ensure patients are directed and supported with care.
Main duties of the job
- Welcome patients and visitors in a friendly, professional way
- Manage a busy reception, including answering calls and booking enquiries
- Direct patients to appointments and support clinical teams
- Keep records accurate and up to date using digital systems
- Provide flexible cover across reception sites when needed
What we're looking for
- Strong organisation skills with good attention to detail
- Clear communication and a calm, approachable manner
- Flexibility to work across different sites and shift needs
- Level 3 qualification in Business Administration or Customer Service, or equivalent experience
- Word processing skills to OCR Level 2 or ICDL standard
- Experience in an NHS setting is helpful but not essential

Qualifications
- Level 3 in Business Administration/Customer Service or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
- Word processing to OCR level 2 standard or ICDL
Knowledge
- Comprehensive knowledge of a range of administration procedures and practices.
- Knowledge of a range of software programmes including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Knowledge of SystmOne functions and other clinical reporting systems
- Knowledge of clinic/appointment programmes
- Knowledge of making every contact count (MECC)
Experience
- Previous experience of working in an office environment and carrying out general office/administration procedures
- Previous experience of patient appointment booking systems e.g. SystmOne
- Previous NHS experience or working with the public
