Overview

Are you passionate about behaviour change? Smokefree Liverpool is seeking a community development worker to help reduce the prevalence of smoking and tackle health inequalities for the people of Liverpool. The role offers a flexible and varied workload, training, hybrid working and community-based interventions and prevention.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver stop smoking advice and complete referrals to the service; target vulnerable populations within the city.
  • Provide very brief advice to smokers across a variety of settings and support referral into the service via promotional events, GP surgeries and other community venues.
  • Work as part of a team; use strong people skills to support and motivate others.

Qualifications / Characteristics

  • Enthusiastic and motivated person with good people skills; ability to support and motivate others and work well in a team setting.
