An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Advanced Specialist Nurses to join our dynamic team within Tier 3 Specialist Weight Management. The post holders will work within a multidisciplinary team, conducting comprehensive assessments, developing care plans, and delivering specialist interventions for patients with obesity.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Deliver specialist interventions for patients with obesity using evidence‑based practice, education, and behaviour change techniques.
- Lead the development of the nursing element of the service, including involvement in research, audit, and CPD.
- Provide clinical supervision to other team members.
- Advise on onward referral to Tier 4 Bariatric Surgery Service as appropriate.
- Manage a busy caseload with excellent time‑management and organisational skills.
- Work alongside a range of specialists as part of an MDT approach.
- Support patients at various bases across Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire.
Qualifications
- Registered nurse with NMC registration.
- Relevant post‑registration nursing experience.
- Ideally experience in a weight management service.
Positions Available
- 1 full‑time permanent role.
- 1 part‑time 22.5‑hour fixed‑term role until March 2027.
Location
The post will be based at Marfleet Health Centre in Hull, with additional duty at other bases across Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire.
