Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily shift duties and routine checks across both hotel and mall facilities.
- Carry out preventive maintenance on M&E systems, guest rooms, retail areas, and public spaces.
- Support daily engineering operations and attend operational briefings.
- Ensure proper documentation of occurrence logs, assignment sheets, and checklists in line with SOPs.
- Assist with repair and maintenance works including electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, refrigeration, and general building tasks.
- Maintain proper control and usage of spare parts and consumables to manage departmental expenses.
- Participate in technical training and on-the-job learning to strengthen skills and technical knowledge.
- Provide technical support to ensure efficient operations, energy conservation, and carbon reduction targets.
- Respond promptly to guest and tenant-related technical issues, resolving them effectively to minimise recurrence.
- Support sustainability initiatives and contribute to maintaining high guest satisfaction and tenant experience.
Requirements
- General knowledge of building M&E systems, including electrical, ACMV, chillers, pumps, fire protection, plumbing, and related equipment.
- Hands-on technical skills in engineering maintenance and repair.
- Ability to work independently and handle routine inspections and troubleshooting.
- Willingness to learn and attend technical training sessions.
- Strong teamwork and commitment to rostered duties.
- Experience in both hotel or retail property maintenance will be an advantage.
Work Environment
- Technicians will be responsible for supporting both hotel and mall facilities, including:
- Hotel Areas: Guest rooms, bathrooms, public areas, kitchens, meeting rooms, offices, and back-of-house spaces.
- Mall Areas: Retail units, common areas, toilets, food court facilities, and shared utilities.
- Systems: Electrical distribution, ACMV systems, refrigeration, fire protection, plumbing and sanitary, water features, kitchen equipment, and other critical M&E systems.
