We are seeking a Senior Quality Manager to lead and develop our Centre Quality team, ensuring external quality assurance of centres aligns with City & Guilds’ processes, regulatory requirements, and Centre Assessment Standards Scrutiny (CASS) strategy. This role will play a crucial part in mitigating risk, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and ensuring valid and reliable learner outcomes.As a key leader, you will provide direction and support to a high-performing team, manage resources effectively, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory standardsAbout the role
Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team to achieve department goals, deliver exceptional service, and meet key SLAs.Work with senior leadership to develop and implement the departments strategy, objectives, and key results.Oversee risk management and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with CASS strategy and regulatory requirements.Establish a framework for performance reviews, training, and recognition to nurture a high-performance culture.Act as a City & Guilds ambassador with key external stakeholders, including Centres, Ofqual, IFATE, and QW.Identify non-compliance issues, conduct risk assessments, and ensure necessary actions are taken to meet regulatory requirements.Successfully manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and implementing recommendations.Set and manage team expenditure to ensure efficient resource allocation.About you
Extensive experience in quality assurance of centre assessment, including verification and moderation.Proven leadership skills, with experience in managing and developing teamsExperience in project management and leading teams through changeFinancial acumen with experience in budget management.A results-driven mindset with a strong track record of performance improvements.Decision-making skills and accountability for outcomes.Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate strategy clearly.
