Locations: We are recruiting for several locations across the UK: Crawley, Coventry, Warrington.

About the role: As an Electrical Installations Tutor, you will deliver practical and theoretical electrical training, aligning with company and awarding organisations' guidelines to apprentices or commercial clients, both in classroom and through hands-on training. You will handle courses such as C&G 2365 Level 2 & 3, C&G 2382, C&G 2391, C&G 2377, C&G 2921, as well as BPEC Solar PV and Battery Storages, while possibly developing training materials to meet specific requirements. You will also be responsible for our apprenticeship delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver quality and consistency of all electrical installation subjects and associated courses offered by the company.
  • Develop and update lesson plans and training materials to align with industry standards and apprenticeship frameworks.
  • Assess apprentices' work, providing constructive feedback and support to help them improve.
  • Monitor and track apprentices' progress, maintaining accurate records of their achievements and areas for development.
  • Provide one-on-one support and mentoring to apprentices, addressing any learning or personal issues they may encounter.
  • Carry out Progress Reviews with both apprentice and employer.
  • Ensure all training and assessments comply with relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with employers, giving technical advice where necessary to ensure training meets the needs of the workplace and supports apprentices' on-job learning.
  • Assess courses in line with company and awarding bodies' guidelines, including keeping accurate and timely records of attendance, assessment and achievement.
  • Review individual student performance at agreed points in the program and complete 'at risk' procedures.
  • Implement Internal Quality Assurance requirements as set by the company and awarding bodies.
  • Be aware of and comply with Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times, to protect your own safety and that of others.
  • Be aware of and comply with and promote Equality & Diversity policies and practices.
  • Work as a member of a team and liaise effectively and positively with other departments and organisations.
  • Support and promote Safeguarding and Prevent requirements.

About You: What you’ll need:

  • Recent and relevant industry experience in domestic, commercial and/or industrial Electrical Installation.
  • Level 3 Teaching qualification or equivalent.
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
  • Sound knowledge of Electrical and Science principles.
  • Practical capabilities in and around Electrical Installations.
  • Driving licence and access to a personal vehicle, as some travel to various training centres may be required.
  • Ability to deliver the 5357, 5393, and 2382 qualifications.
  • Level 3 Assessing qualification or equivalent.
  • Level 4 Internal Quality Audit certificate or equivalent.
  • Green credentials (Solar PV, EV, EESS).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects independently.
  • Problem-solving attitude with a patient and controlled demeanour.
  • Leadership skills combined with a team-player mindset.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
